  1. 春秋時代秦國國君。嬴姓，名任好。勤求賢士，得百里奚、蹇叔、丕豹、公孫支等賢臣，助晉文公歸晉。周襄王時伐西戎，開地千里，襄王命為西方諸侯之伯，遂霸西戎。在位三十九年。諡穆。春秋五霸之一。
