  1. 戰國時趙括，擅長談論兵法，不知變通，長平一役大敗，趙軍被坑殺四十萬人的故事。典出《史記·卷八一·廉頗藺相如傳》。後比喻不合實際的空談、議論。《紅樓夢·第七六回》：「現有這樣詩仙在此，卻天天去紙上談兵。」《官場現形記·第三一回》：「畢竟書生之見，全是紙上談兵，這些營務事情，如非親身閱歷，決不能言之中肯。」似空言無補
