小ㄒㄧㄠˇxiǎo康ㄎㄤkāng

  1. 國家社會漸告安定，人民生活安樂，但尚未達到天下太平的大同階段，稱為「小康」。語出《禮記·禮運》：「如有不由此者，在執者去，眾以為殃，是謂小康。」

  2. 形容略有資產而足以自給的家境。《儒林外史·第一五回》：「先生得這『銀母』，家道自此也可小康了。」
